The newest addition to the Muriel family:
I'll pick her up on Friday, and then Frank and I will be driving back to Ottawa with the Nissan to return to my parents. My first car! Next on the list: Audi R8, list price $139,000.
This weekend we also attended the wedding of my previous co-worker. I was expecting a big Italian wedding, but had no idea we would be treated to such a flashy show. In addition to the big ice sculpture of a swan and the two huge thrones for the bride and groom, there was also a fire-y chef demonstration/show complete with pyrotechnics. Like this:
..except like, 10 feet away from me. The words "unnecessarily ostentatious" may have been used. Crazy.

Hello friend, how are you? I am eagerly awaiting the announcement of your new blog, though I am sure your lady companion is a very high priority as well. If it would help in your time management I can create a blog for you and write about your life as I imagine it. It would not be nearly as poetic unfortunately. You have led the blog way and we await your return with bated breath.
HE IS COME!

I have a lot of TO DO's on my work list but I don't want to look at it, so I'll talk about my weekend. Last night Frank and I went to see R.E.M. and Modest Mouse and The National at the Molson Amphitheatre. Aside from the weather it was a good show. I'm not exactly the number one fan for any of those bands but the collective lineup was enough to get me to go. I could sing along to enough of their songs. Michael Stipe is a pretty fun front man to watch. They've been around long enough. I think they know what they're doing.
I also test drove the Honda Fit this weekend. Sara, you were right about it being jerky, but I was impressed enough with the rest of the car's features that it hasn't been eliminated from the running yet. Hopefully I will hit up Toyota and Nissan next weekend.

This will only ring a bell for a few of you at most, but I had a dream last night that I was back in university (lord knows why, I do hate school). I had come out of the library and ran into a couple of people from my classes, and they were with a friend...who happened to be [censored]. Hahaha. And I was like, "[censored]! How the hell have you been!" It was weird. I wonder if he would even remember me. He was so cute.
This kind of makes me want to reactivate my facebook account and look for him. I will restrain myself for now.

Where is everyone else's blog?? I thought we had a deal, people! Don't let me down now.
I'm very excited because I have just discovered that Journey (YES, JOURNEY!) is coming to Toronto in September, with Heart and Cheap Trick. I'm there.
I'm going to see the Kooks tonight. I hope no one wins the Stanley Cup while we're out.
Ok now listen to some music. I like seeqpod. I tried to add this widget to my sidebar but it's too fat and I can't, so I wrote to seeqpod telling them so and they're sending me a t-shirt. Sweet! I should file this post under "Greg".
